The Ray County Collector of Revenue is a county-wide elected office with a four year term.  Margie A. Bowman was elected in 1994 and started serving her first term on March 1, 1995.  She is currently serving as a First Vice-president of the Missouri County Collector's Association.

Since becoming collector, Bowman brought back the personal property tax card to carry in your wallet for licensing vehicles.  She also offered the option to pay your taxes by credit card.

Ray County Collector office currently offers the capability to accept Discover Card payments for taxes.

Office Information

The Ray County Collector's Office collects, disburses, and accounts for over $16 million annually.  It is the responsibility of the collector to collect current and delinquent taxes for various taxing entities throughout the county.

Tax statements are mailed in November and are due by December 31st each year.  If you do not receive a statemetn by the first week in December please contact the office.  Failure to receive a tax statement does not relieve the obligation to pay taxes.
